HWS MANAGEMENT SIA has entered a contract No.L-ATA-14-2159 on June 5, 2014 with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency of the project “HWS MANAGEMENT” SIA participation in international exhibitions in the Netherlands, Finland, Germany co-financed by the European Regional Development Agency.
Hotel awarded Green Key eco-label for environmental management
Having received the Green Key eco-label, our hotel continues to play an active role in protecting the planet's environment.
Our hotel and staff have implemented and continue to practice an effective environmental policy that includes guidelines for staff training as well as for the conservation of water and energy and the disposal of wastes and chemical products. Applied through employee empowerment, the policy also seeks to build supplier and customer awareness about environmental preservation. In addition to closely monitoring energy consumption, our hotel has installed water-saving equipment, food local and free from GMO, antiallergic carpets, daily cleaning materials with eco certificates, energy saving program for use of air-conditioners and other activities for guests and staff. The staff also uses environmentally friendly cleaning products and west reduction policy in all departments, and we are committed to respecting nature and to contributing to environmental education.

AVALON HOTEL & Conferences plan to stop buying caged hens eggs until 2025
For AVALON HOTEL & Conferences and restaurant are important bird and animal welfare, quality, healthy and be a environmentally, socially and environmentally friendly company.
On May 3, 2018 year, the board of the company has defined and adopted a decision to include an additional point in "Green Key" environmental policy: to stop buying caged hens' eggs by 2025.
The action plan will be implemented gradually, according to the financial possibilities of Latvian egg producers and the company, guest ability to pay, choices and responsiveness, to ensure that neither the customers, suppliers, or company reputation and freedom in this process would not be adversely affected.
The company informs public about new goal in their social communication channels, during the Riga Restaurant Week and in hotel website.
The hotel has not used or purchased egg powders and liquid egg masses in its past and dont plan to use them in the future.
